Both of them are among the 14 AAP MLAs who were nominated by the Delhi Assembly Speaker to the MCD in December last year. After the noise increased, the presiding officer announced that the house is adjourned till the next date.

AAP leaders and councilors continued to sit in their respective seats, while BJP members walked out of the House. Later, while addressing a press conference at Civic Centre, MCD headquarters, AAP’s Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh, party’s MLA Atishi and AAP’s MCD in-charge Durgesh Pathak criticized the BJP for holding the election of Mayor of Delhi in a time-bound manner.
